Chen Lihua, CEO of Fu Wah International, topped the Hurun Global Self-Made Women Billionaires List 2017 with 50.5 billion yuan (US$7.2 billion).

A total of 88 self-made female billionaires were on the list. Among them, 56 are from China, accounting for 64 percent of the total.

Besides, there are 10 billionaires aged 45 or under. The 36-year-old Wu Yan, CEO of Hakim, is the youngest self-made woman billionaire in the world.

The average wealth of thewomen billionaires reached 15.5 billion yuan (US$2.25 billion), up 11 percent compared with last year.

Technology, media and telecom are the three main sources of wealth for billionaires, followed by manufacturing and retail.

This is the 7th release of the ranking.
